Al: According to Arthur Sulzberger's past comments, which I've linked to before, the answer to your question is "yes."

The names mentioned are reasons why we would like to see the Taylor group be the one to buy the Globe, but are they reasons why the NYT company would be more likely to sell the Globe to the Taylor group?

No, it is not. The business fundamentals are broken and more damage is being done daily with increasing circulation prices at the cost of declining circulation.

The advertising decline will be permanent. Damage is being done and it is hard to correct.

It is easier to stay out of trouble than get out of trouble.

They keep pounding more nails in their own coffin, and by the time the Taylors get this in their hands it may be all but dead on arrival, sadly.

We don't have to go far to take a poll or survey. Mrs. Media Nation says she prefers print. It's that simple!
